Enjoy two hours of art exploration and be free to experiment and develop your art skills. Research has proven that are beneficial outcomes from creating art regularly.

This summer term we will be working towards completing one or more 2D pieces of art to showcase in an exhibition at Blue House artspace on Esher high st. Participation in the exhibition is not mandatory. If your young person does want to take part in the exhibition there may be a charge for purchasing a mount or frame. They will have support with ordering and framing.

These Saturday sessions are led by myself, Parul- a contemporary watercolour artist, who is a Central Saint Martins alumni and draws experience from a 20 year career in design. I will introduce you to working with varied materials, enable you to think creatively and make with realism or abstractly.

The sessions will be an open space to create, where each young artist will decide on their starting prompt; an image or idea of their choice. In the following weeks they will experiment, play, design and practise skills building up to creating 1 or 2 finished artworks. At the end of June BlueHouse artspace will host an exhibition of these artworks, providing the young artists with a unique chance to show off their hard work and their beautiful creative ways of thinking.

I would advise 2-3 Saturdays minimum to complete 1 artwork depending on individuals speed of working and size of the piece, this will include time for experimentation and then time to frame.

The sessions will run on the following Saturdays:
  • 20th April
  • 27th April
  • 4th May
  • 11th May
  • 25th May
  • 27th - 29th June - Exhibition at Blue House
